Applicant privacy notice

How DojoStack handles the data you send when you apply for a job.

Who is responsible

DojoStack GmbH (formerly Examdojo GmbH; Amtsgericht München, HRB 253035), Köpenickerstr. 10a, 10997 Berlin, Germany, is responsible for the personal data you send us when you apply. For anything about your application or your data, write to careers@dojostack.ai.

What we collect and why

When you apply we collect your name and email address, and whatever else you choose to add: your LinkedIn and GitHub profiles, your CV and a note. We use it only to consider you for a role at DojoStack and to get back to you about it.

The legal basis is taking steps, at your request, towards a possible employment contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you tick the box to be considered for future roles, the basis for contacting you about them is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.

We check uploaded CVs automatically for embedded scripts and macros, to protect the people who open them. We do not use your data for automated decisions about you.

How long we keep it

We keep your application, your CV and our notes about it for as long as we need them for this and future hiring decisions, and to respond to legal claims about the hiring process (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, in connection with §15(4) AGG). There is no automatic deletion: we review what we hold and delete it when it is no longer needed.

You can ask us to delete your application at any time by emailing us, and we will do so without undue delay unless we still need it to respond to a legal claim.

If we hire you, your application becomes part of your personnel file.

Who processes it for us

Vercel hosts this website and runs the application form, in Frankfurt, Germany.

Supabase stores applications and CVs in its database service, on Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany.

Loops, through Amazon SES, sends the email telling you about a decision on your application. It receives your first name, email address and the role you applied for. This processing takes place in the United States, under appropriate safeguards for transfers outside the EU (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Google Workspace hosts the careers inbox that receives your replies.

Only the people at DojoStack involved in hiring can see your application.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format, and you can object to its use (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Email careers@dojostack.ai and we will act on it without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. Ours is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
